A racetrack casino’s own online product
Most racinos lend their online certificates to national brands. Parx Casino and Racing in Bensalem took another route with its own app, built and run by Greenwood Gaming, which also owns the casino floor and the track. In New Jersey that app runs under an Atlantic City permit, since the state ties every online brand to a casino there.
Greenwood first went online in June 2019 with a sportsbook built on GAN technology and Kambi odds, the second online sportsbook in its home state, with an online casino following in July. The current product replaced the earlier one in March 2022, when betParx relaunched its apps on Playtech technology, and the New Jersey casino now runs on that platform.
betParx casino license in NJ
New Jersey works differently from racetrack states, because only Atlantic City casinos can hold internet gaming permits there. The Division of Gaming Enforcement lists the betParx casino address under a Caesars Interactive Entertainment affiliate connected to Harrah’s Atlantic City. The New Jersey app is published by GW NJ Sports, Inc., and the New Jersey online guide explains the permit system.
The permit arrangement means the Parx brand and the license holder are different companies. The player sees betParx on the screen, while the regulator sees the Caesars affiliate, and the NJ terms line and helpline follow the state’s rules. Parx’s own racino in Pennsylvania is a separate business, covered as a venue on the Parx page.
From GAN to Playtech: the 2022 relaunch
On March 16, 2022, betParx relaunched its apps on Playtech’s IMS platform and player account management system, the first time that platform had gone live in the market. The move followed a multi-state agreement between Parx and Playtech signed in February 2021, and it combined the casino and sportsbook into a single app.
The relaunch brought Playtech titles, including games from its Origins and Rarestone studios, alongside third-party content from IGT, Konami and AGS. At the time, Matthew Cullen, betParx’s senior vice president of iGaming and sports, said the team had simplified sign-up, deposits and cash-outs. EveryMatrix added its SlotMatrix portfolio in New Jersey in February 2025.
Welcome offer and review notes on terms
On October 20, 2026 the New Jersey offer returned net casino losses from a player’s first 24 hours as bonus money up to $500, plus 250 Bonus Spins on a single slot. The bonus money carries a 5x playthrough and must be used within 7 days, which makes it stricter than the 1x terms common among national brands.
The spins arrive as ten sets of 25, and each set expires 24 hours after it lands, so a player who skips a day loses that set. For this review, the NJ terms are best read in the offers box on this page, which carries the current wording and a link to the full rules.
Games in the betParx casino lobby
The App Store listing describes classic and exclusive real-money games: slots, live dealer, blackjack, roulette and other table games. Playtech’s own studios supply much of the exclusive content, while IGT, Konami and AGS bring titles from their land-based slot ranges. Exact counts change as studios add games and regulators approve them.
Because one app holds both products, the casino lobby sits next to a Kambi-powered sportsbook. Players who want only the casino can stay in that section. Game availability can differ from a national brand, since each title needs separate approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement before it appears in the lobby.
App ratings and support
Store ratings are the brand’s weakest point. On October 21, 2026, the New Jersey app showed 2.6 stars from just 8 App Store ratings and 3.3 from 522 on Google Play. National apps such as BetRivers sit far above that, so the NJ numbers are a thin sample and move with every new review.
Support is offered by live chat from the help centre. The iPhone app needs iOS 16 or later. Geolocation runs before any game loads, as the state regulator requires, so a Bensalem account cannot be used across the river in Trenton and an Atlantic City visitor can play only while physically in New Jersey.
Parx Racing and the online numbers
Parx Racing runs thoroughbreds year-round on a one-mile dirt oval with a seven-furlong turf course, with 149 race days in 2026 and the Pennsylvania Derby each September. The betParx casino does not take race bets; those go through advance-deposit wagering apps or the track, into the pools described in the pari-mutuel betting guide.
The online casino is small next to the land-based floor in Bensalem. The thin store ratings above show a much smaller player base than national apps, and the Parx slot floor remains the draw for most customers. Readers who want the track itself will find its racing calendar, facilities and history on the Parx venue page.
Limits and self-exclusion
Responsible gaming settings sit in the account area of the app. New Jersey keeps a statewide self-exclusion list that covers betParx. The free 1-800-GAMBLER helpline appears in the app listing and applies across the state, while the responsible gambling page lists every helpline. A deposit limit set before the first wager keeps spending to a plan.
